If you want to sign up
for the text message updates then there are a few things you should
know.
Cost
Firstly, the cost for using this service is one standard
network message to start receiving messages and one to stop receiving
them. How much this costs you will depend one your network and
price plan but should cost you about 10p - 15p. We don't charge
for any messages that you receive from us.
Subscribing
At the moment we are offering just one simple service - you can
subscribe to receive a text message with our latest news - and
we'll send them out about once a week (unless something exciting
happens!). You
can subscribe to this by texting 'breakout info start' to 60300. This
text will be charged to you at the standard network rate.
Unsubscribing
To unsubscribe from the list, just send 'breakout info stop' to
60300. This text message will be charged to you at the
standard network rate.
Your Data
We promise, hand on heart that we won't do anything with your data
that you wouldn't want us to. We will ONLY use your mobile
number for sending you text messages about the Breakout events
and MAYC. We will NOT pass your mobile number onto anyone
else. Just so that you know, the Data Controller for this
is MAYC, a part of the Methodist Church.
Your Privacy
Your mobile number is safe with us. There are only a limited number
of people who can access our text messaging system - and those
that can have to log in with a password. This means that
we can track all users and what they do. We can't identify
any individuals from their phone number, so you are anonymous
to us - but you do know who we are!
What we tell you
When we do send you text messages, any information contained within them will
be correct at the time of going to press.
