In the beginning...
MAYC was known as the Methodist Association of Youth Clubs and
was inaugurated in 1945, which brought together Methodist youth
clubs
from all around Great Britain. At that time MAYC's work centred
on supporting youth clubs, providing youth worker training and
resources, involvement at national and district level and organising
national
events, i.e. London Weekend, which brought together youth groups
and individuals every year. |
